No Beta Chosen = Steam Client (Normal/Standard)
Steam Beta Update = Steam Client (Beta)

On the "Steam Beta Branch" line, it will either say 'Beta' or 'Stable' Client. This also has the specific Steam Version in use, client/web build dates, and Steam API Version.
If you have a Chromebook you can continue to run Steam afterwards by installing it inside of the Linux Development Environment, this is an advanced feature in ChromeOS you can enable.
