Adding Windows Non-Steam Softwareas if non-steam game to your library and launch through Proton.

Has anyone succesfully used the "Add Non-steam Game" feature to install Windows programs, specifically I'd like to try Autocad and Revit to run and install using Proton in Linux. I'd like to know if feasible and successfully possible as when checking for compatibility under WineHQ looks like kind of a mixed bag with only particular versions getting the bronze or gold rating. Newer versions that are available from Autocad I can't successfully get to install under Wine nor Bottles. I do have a dual boot setup but would prefer to actually remain on Linux Mint. I know there are solutions with running in a VM with GPU pass-through etc but looking for a more clean and native like solution.

i would not expect autocad to work, unless its a very old version for windows
its always been doing direct things that needs admin access

Having to use the non-steam game menu is an annoying hoop to jump through.

A KDE Plasma plugin that lets you right click on an executable and run it through proton, treating the Proton virtual z: drive folder as a normal C:\ would be nice.

Anyway, I've had mixed success launching non-game software with the non-steam game menu method. In some cases, Bottles worked better. There's a lot of library dependencies to consider and whatnot.
