Would definitely benefit most from a GPU upgrade..the 6670 is a bit on on the weak side. What's your PSU, resolution you play at, and budget?

Well knowing your PSU is going to be pretty important because it'll let me know if you can even run the GPU I would recommend. But for £300($477) you could get a very beefy GPU like a GTX 670 or HD 7970

The number 500w alone doesn't mean anything if it's a low quality PSU. What's the exact model?

i would recommend an amd HD 7950. Efficient and not too loud like a 7970.
At overclockers prices begin at 230 quid. If you have some money left invest it in a SSD. Though there is no need to run games on it most of times, it greatly speeds up you OS(well at least it will seem that way to you)

This. Either that one or a GTX670. 670 likes to be overclocked and it's extremely stable and is well below your budget. Definitely recommend getting it, but you need to know how much wattage your PSU provides!

And then watch is peformance plummet as he tries to use his 6670 on newer games at 1080p? 1600x900 is fine for now, and with a stronger GPU, then when he makes the transition to 1080p, if he ever does, his performance will still be fine.
