PCs have more than 1 configuration to take into account. Not every PC is the exact same in terms of hardware and software.
we have had this conversation. If a person likes one more than the other so be it. It doesn't actually effect the other community thats against them.
i asked how consoles with small config can run games
lol triggered
im asking HOW Consoles with low config can run games
hm.....you make a statement right.
You make a claim to go with it. If you want to note anothers thoughts on the topic take in consideration your title. If you say question or put the way you format your words in a more reasonable way more people will actually try to help you. i think you could of put this in another forum anyway. Your title should change is what i mean
Essentially, trying to play PC games on a weak PC involves taking on an engine your computer can't handle; no matter how far you scale it back, the latest titles by Ubisoft and EA simply can't run on Intel HD. They were meant for better hardware.
If you're looking for games you can actually run, there's a plethora of older games you can find that were made for midrange PCs around 10+ years ago. Other than some compatibility issues here and there, Intel HD is usually enough for these.
im no expert but look at mario bros 1 for example , the reason you werent able to go back was because everything you passed got unloaded to get the game to work on the (today) very weak NES
same goes for all games , they make sacrifices all the time , if i recall right , ocarina of time runs at 17 FPS
these games really didnt run well or anything
another example , look at the Nintendo DS , that system had a 256 × 192 Pixel Screen , so the system could focus its power on the games "physics" (which arent any different than in 2D Snes games for most) since the graphics are only around N64 levels
the psp is the same as the DS , tho it has a 480 × 272 pixels screen , thats still very low tho
another thing , a PC has background processes , while this doesnt matter for a gaming pc (for me Steam and Chrome taking 7% of my CPUs power and 7GB of RAM away is no issue )for a very budget pc it can be , also these consoles had OS and user interfaces that were very limited compared to most Windows versions
and lastly very often theres tricks being used to get the games to run , if you force Paper Mario 2 into Widescreen on Emulator , you can see how everything despawns as soon as you move into the other direction , even in small areas like rougeport , as soon as you move to the left the platform with the chest and even buildings despawn (without a forced widescreen this cant be seen obviously)
Games are very optimized for console hardware, coupled with lower resolution and 30 FPS cap.
Cosoles only have 1-2 types of GPUs they need to support on their platform, making optimization more straightforward.
PC has 100s of different GPUs that must be supported.
All versions of one console (XBOX 1) will have the same hardware, allowing the devs to make their games COMPLETELY made for this hardware, where as in pc devs have to account for tons of different hardware, but this allows for more config, because on console the settings are on exactly what it can run, whereas on pc it depends on the pc.
Taking away the price of the four good games and controller that came with the console. Where can you buy a PC that plays Fallout 4 for the price of two $60 dollar games?
