Some people just have naturally higher-pitched voices even after puberty. But that isn’t necessarily bad; you could be a decent power metal vocalist.

The second song sounds like guys that really need to cough talking into a fan, I can sound the same when I really need to cough too. People usually develop a raspy voice like that after they smoke a lot, not for a good reason though. Usually because of the damage they've given their lungs and windpipe.

I was very conscious about my voice, so I started smoking clove cigarillos when I was 18 because someone recommended it. Also because smoking and drinking turned Leonard Cohen into a gravely voiced singer.

I haven't smoked cigs in ages now, but I honestly think it give your voice a bit more of a manly sound to it.

Just be aware that you are crippling yourself in the long run, either in a minor or major way, by doing so.
