No. That just seems like a ridiculous proposition.

Valve will never be able to afford epic games. You do realise epic is bigger than valve, EA is also bigger than valve as is Ubisoft. Valve has only become a store front these days for other publishers.

We dont want any more Fortnite Kids on here.

Rivalry is good for quality and prices. Epic should stay as epic.

Another peasant b*tching about having multiple platforms. M&A between Valve and Epic sounds nonsense.

If Valve didn't buy Epic then they'd have to start making games again.
Time to choose...

I don't think Valve has that kind of money to blow. Likewise Epic won't likely buy Valve as their private. Granted I suppose Valve could buy an interest in Epic though, it'd be less than buying it outright but with time could end up with a controlling stake.

elon musk should buy epic games instead so then he can delete it

Nope, competition is good, even if they are obnoxious.

Well that would just be setting things backwards. Both Epic and Steam have been accused of being a monopoly and if Steam buys Epic or vice versa, that would just prove that one of them is actually trying to be a monopoly.

Ideally we want Epic to stop with their actions and actually compete in such a way that betters the market for all of us. We may have had a better developer cut on Steam already if Epic didn't put themselves under a negative spotlight.

And we can't be fanboys without it. Wouldn't life be boring then?

Perhaps Discord should buy Valve... since they seem to be based on the same proprietary code... (or at least look like it)

Epic is already worth more than Valve, like nearly 2x worth more than Valve. So Valve couldn't buy Epic even if they wanted to.
Where are you getting your numbers? I ask because I can't find anything past 2012 for Valve, except for one article from 2 years ago which focuses on the wealth of Gabe Newell alone (which was 5.5 billion, I think).
