Is sleep paralysis real or a people just being lazy? 🤔
Waking up paralysed would be a great excuse to be late for work.

Nah, its real & pretty horrific. Whenever I have it, I pretty much can't sleep rest of the night.

Being lazy? I'm not sure you understand what sleep paralysis actually is.

Yes it is real, I had it myself like last summer holidays, and it's a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up thing.

Uh huh. And what are you people gonna do if you wake up during a house fire?

Or at least not yet..

Sleep paralysis is real, and without it you would flop around at night due to dreaming. It would also make a terrible excuse to miss work, because waking up while still in a state of sleep paralysis is rare, and it doesn't last very long. I've never experienced it myself, but I have startled myself awake due to moving when I shouldn't during sleep. Sort of the opposite problem.

No I'm quite serious. There seems to be some sort of sleep paralysis epidemic these days, every second person claims to have it. I'm just wondering what the plan is for these people in an emergency situation, if they haven't even considered it given their condition then I think it's an important question to ask.

No it doesn't, according to google it can last several minutes. More than enough time to choke to death on smoke or get strangled by an intruder.
