should i get a tattoo or not
i have been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while already but i cant really decide , i really want a fairy tail tattoo on my upper arm (at the spot where erza has it (upper left arm)
but i just cant decide , i am a huge fan of the anime and i really think having a tattoo would be awesome but there are a few things i am not sure about

1) do i need to have the tattoo in a spot that can be covered by a t-shirt ? i am mostly asking because of jobs and stuff , would it be a problem for some jobs if my tattoo is visible or not ?

2) do i need to take special care of my skin after getting the tattoo ? ( not immediantly after i mean after like 3 months , i know that you shouldnt immediantly expose the skin to sun and other things )

3) how should i pick the right studio ? should i perhaps ask my cousin where he got his tattoo ?

4) do i need to prepare for it in any way , the same way you shouldnt wash your hair before dying it , stuff like that

or other things i forgot for now , please tell me your opinion

1) I'd say do it on your arm and torso connector.
2) Do on start of summer.
3) I don't know about studio part.
4) Don't bath when you did the tattoo only for couple days or it can cause removal of tattoo

1) I'd recommend that it be in an area where it can easily be hidden (in case you are interviewed, or something else)

That's it...

That's entirely up to you mate.

but i kinda want it to be visible , if i have it slightly below tshirt sleeve length or in a way its partly covered i doubt its a problem if it is for jobs i can always wear a long sleeve shirt

1) Some employers will refuse to hire you if you have a visible tattoo. Depends on the field of work though. Where I work, that isn't an issue.

2) No. Though I would continue to bath regularly - having a tattoo isn't an excuse to be dirty.

3) Do your research - in this case, find a studio that's been in business for a long time. Might have to pay more, but you'll get a tattoo artist who knows what they're doing.

4) Prepare for pain - getting a tattoo hurts - more so if you have a low pain threshold.

1. Depends on the job and managers. Some may be accepting, whereas others oppose tattoos because it’s deemed unprofessional.

2. No, the first week or two is crucial for healing; however, afterwards there’s no special care routine. You may want to get it touched up, if the tattoo starts to fade. Color tattoos fade faster than black and grey.

3. Pick the right artist, not studio. Tattoo artists have their own specialities. For example, if I were to get a self-portrait tattoo, I wouldn’t pick a tattoo artist who specializes in cartoons.

4. No, they’ll prepare it for you. Don’t shave! A lot of people shave prior; however, those people tend to shave wrong, leaving the skin dry, ashy and filled with bumps. Keep your skin moisturized though; start applying lotion.

Also, if you have a lot of loose skin or fat, I’d highly recommend achieving a fitter body prior getting a tattoo. If you plan to lose that fat, your tattoo will not remain its original shape. Same goes if you plan on bulking up; your tattoo will stretch.

its your body.

but do realise tattoos look horrible when you are older, and if you get one on a anime you like it will be weird if you grow out of the anime when you are old and your grandchildren are asking what your tattoo is and you have to explain its from an old cartoon I liked when I was younger.

I wouldn't suggest it honestly. Remember that they age with you...
Mod Sloth 12 Oct, 2018 @ 6:16pm
It's your body. Do what you want.

That said - tattoos are permanent. IMO it should be something meaningful - more meaningful than a fictional character or show/movie or whatever that you enjoy.

well, read some celebrities' tattoo incidents....

..like angelina jolie's billy bob tattoo and what happened afterwards....

...and prepare to be mocked because of a fairy tale tattoo...
...some employers will hire you regardless of the tattoo while others will immediately disqualify you.
