Do you think modding a game ruins it yes or no?
Personally for me it doesn't because i can have fun with it in my own way. Plus it's just funny to add a bunch of weird stuff so the game is basically something else entirely.

Some people don't like modding a game and think it ruins it because you're basically crapping on many years of hard work just to change some things.

I mean everyone can decide to use mods or not. Or to mod the game themselves for that matter.

Would be nice if games wouldn´t need these bugfix mods though...

That is a foolish question. Are you a Capcom shill?

It can ruin the first playthrough, or ruin the ability to play it without mods. Or ruin letsplays when everyone has cheaty mods.

But after the first vanilla run, or runs, mods are fine.

definitely not, ive been playing Final Fantasy 7 recently and love all the mods available with 7th heaven

Nope. Factorio has a great modding community and has extended the life of the game immensely. Same with Terraria (Calamity mod)

it alters it, and several companies have ruined their games because of mods.

otherwise no.

No. They can always choose to play vanilla if they want. That's the point of mods.

I prefer walking around in skimpy swimsuit while toting 2 handed laser greatsword in whiterun.

If you're playing a game for the first time, it can probably hurt your appreciation for the base game, but otherwise no.

Strange question. Mods are created to IMPROVE a game. And nobody HAS to use them. Also, your question is too generic. Some mods might change the game completely, while others are just an option to hide the HUD for example.

"Crapping on years of hard work" is a very strange way to put it. Sounds like something a fanboy would say. Sometimes devs don't care to implement things because of time or budget restrictions, like the aforementioned HUD options. Mods can fix that.

Cyberpunk 2077 pc mod called Prim Ads get's rid of annoying ads, guy on toilet, guy eating arse, spread eagle gal ad and many more annoying ads and replaces them with tasteful ones

I think so. Designers and creators usually complement the artstyle and gameplay, and the game/characters react to what their developers see and what is planned/implemented in game.

I don’t mind it, but it usually feels unnatural

Not at all. I think modding is extremely beneficial to the longevity of a game’s lifespan, and I feel it often enhances the developer’s vision by allowing more people to come in and further improve upon the existing experience.

I suppose you could make the argument of mods “crapping on the studio’s hard work” when it comes to nonsensical or meme mods, like turning the dragons in Skyrim into Thomas the Tank Engine, but personally I’ve never seen the appeal of those kinds of mods and do not use them myself.

I typically use mods to either add more content to expand a game’s scope, or to touch up the existing parts that I feel could do with some changes. And I don’t view it as a rejection of what the original game’s creator intended, because I always make the choice to play through the game un-modded for the first time and have that intended experience.
