IDK. Is there any major difference between the two other than size?
people seem to hate it for some reason tho.
I only used the 3D effect at the first bit, but then it became annoying having to have my head in a certain angle of the DS.
But I don't really like the unfoldablility of the 2DS, but however this may feel nostalgic for anyone who used the Gameboy that you couldn't fold.
I honestly prefer the 3DS anyways.
I probably wouldn't use the 3D effect that much tbh. So I guess I'll look for an older version of the 3DS, cause I was not aware that the 2DS couldn't fold up at all.
Anyway. Thanks for the info. :)
If I could have a better 3D effect, I think I might use the 3D feature more. (It's also a great excuse to keep kids' hands off of it ;)
And you're welcome :)
Controls aren't bad, although Smash is MUCH better on the Wii than 3DS.
Playing Triforce Heroes online has been a ton of fun for me. Every so often you get a person with abismal internet connection, but 90% of the time, you get good connectivity. From there it just depends on the persons skill.
The un-foldability of the 2DS is what made me not get it. I like carrying it with me to get the Streetpass coins, and having it fit in my pocket easily is a plus.
Ugh, I almost forgot about Brawl. Brawl's controls were a NIGHTMARE unless you had a Gamecube control, which finally went back into production for Smash 4.
I tried it once or twice, and I never looked back.
However, I do play this and that; Phoenix Wright, Pokemon, LoZ, and some others.
The controls are quite good. I'd imagine it would be like playing on a PSP (I haven't played one except this one time a long ago, but I can't even remember hardly)
Sensitive? I don't really think it's too sensitive. It's pretty much just right, IMO.
Anyway, I find myself not liking the circle pad much. It doesn't have enough traction and slowly slides back to the neutral position when I hold it in a direction. It's not bad enough to be an issue in a fight, but having to reposition it every 10-15 seconds as I stroll along Hyrule Fields got annoying after a while.
I also have an issue with where the d-pad is placed, there's few games where this will be an issue, but it just didn't feel comfortable placed right under the circle pad. If a game doesn't require you to press L, then it's not so bad, though.
Finally, I have an issue with the "New" 3DS' c-stick. It's made out of the same material as the circle pad, only now the issue is that the stick is difficult to use. You see, it's pressure sensitive, so rather than move it, you have to press down on a part of it. The material it's made out of is definitely to blame, and that's a shame since if I put a piece of cloth or something on it, it becomes significantly more responsive and just feels great to use. Nintendo should've taken notes from the PSP tbh.
Everything else about the 3DS' controls are great.
Compared to the normal 3ds, the 3Ds is suppose to detect where you are and angle it to you, unlike the normal 3DS. The downfall of the new 3DS is that it's ♥♥♥♥ to play in natural light because it's dim despite turning up brightness.
The 2DS is convenient with how it's compatible with 3DS games but like people said, it doesn't fold, just feels like a plank in your hand.
Definitely recommend just going with a 3ds
I never had any issues using my "New" 3DS in any lighting conditions. But that may be because I keep my brightness maxed out all the time.
Yes. The "New" 3DS will play all games the original can. It is also enable Circle Pad Pro controls for any game that supports the add-on.
Only thing is that any games that aren't designed or updated to take advantage of the improved hardware won't run any better.
