I'd also recommend Guild Wars 2. It's been awhile since I last played it but I remember the combat system being a lot more fun then WoW. It has a lot of cool elite specializations. I mained a chronomancer and that was really fun. It's free if you want to check it out.

If you log into your blizzard account you can still download and install WoW anytime you want.

I enjoyed Guild Wars 1 way more than 2, but that’s just me. You can still purchase Guild Wars 1 IIRC. I’ll link it if it’s on Steam.

I played that a lot back in the Aughts.

Runes of Magic is about as old and probably the closest graphics wise.

Rift has more modern graphics but follows the WoW mold quite close.
