8BitDo Ultimate Software V2
Have anyone tried this out with their new controllers? I need to know something important!

Ask away. I have an 8BitDo Adapter 2 and a Sony DualShock 3 (Windows, macOS)

It doesn't do that on PC.

Software asks for too much permissions quite often.
Sometimes it doesn't work at all without them which is suspicious.

However, one thing you can do - at least on a Samsung android - is just not give them the permission they're asking for and the software sometimes still works fine without giving them the info.

The original Software for the old controllers had a limit of 3 profiles with 4 macro settings for each. My question is, does Software V2 still have the same limit, or can I set more than 4 macros for 1 profile!?

If V2 has the same limit as the original, then I need to cancel my order before it ships!

The exact number of macros and profiles depends on the specific software version and controller, but overall the new version offers greater flexibility in configuring macros and profiles.
8BitDo has technical support that responds very quickly. I contacted them before my purchase because I wanted to know if vibration would work on macOS.

It displayed nothing useful. My phone is in desktop mode right now and all I saw was a couple of buttons with a tiny font (I think one of them was about updates) and maybe a Bluetooth icon.

The windows/pc version is only a zip folder that you extract. Nothing will work until you plug in the right hardware capable with that version. Their Software is safe.
Yes. Without the device, you won’t be able to explore the available features.
Download the software from their official website.

Do you have 1 of the new controllers capable with version 2 software to test this for me? If not, than I'll try emailing them.

Wait, no. I downloaded it again and opened it on my phone. The two buttons are for pairing, I think. Anyway, nothing happened, or I don't care enough to learn how to use this thing. The button for updates I saw earlier is hidden behind a gear icon.

Anyway, sorry for not being of any use. I don't have a PC anymore, and I don't want to download things on the ones I have access to, except Steam and a few puzzle games to accumulate game time in them.

My controller is 8BitDo Pro 2 if that matters.

I also have the Pro 2 controller. Version 2 software is not compatible with it. That's why I ordered the Pro 3.

Sorry, my friend, unfortunately there isn’t any. If you have doubts, pause the order, ask customer support, and then make the purchase without any consequences. What’s the rush?
Took a full day, but they finally replied back.

answer: yes

Thank you all for helping. :steamhappy:
