Can anyone here fully explain psyops and how they work ?
Any ideas on how to spot them and how to tell the difference between what is and what isn't a psyop ? If you're ex military your feedback would be greatly appreciated .

I have no idea
It is a combination of soft power of goodies and constant political will put into thought that can appeal to people and sway them.
It can be a pleasant way of doing things or more aggressive with variying degrees of stick and carrot.

In a very limited way of putting it.

To paraphrase Mao on Guerrilla warfare said the guerrilla is the political will. It must work (in reference to China and his rise) alongside the main army.
- there are many variations of how to implement Guerrilla warfare.

If you take Clauswitz on War, (paraphrase) it is to accomplish your objective with physical force.
Which will only take you so far - in my opinion.

To succesfully wage war of conquest or of a political nature you must have the political will of the people conducting it to 'rub off' on the locals.

Think of it as a manipulation.

For a much better explanation i would suggest looking for books on it.

Here is one :

Guerilla warfare is essentially a political war.

I think that might be the first book i read on it actually just in another form decades later lol

-note that is a sanitised copy so it probably will not be like the original, exactly.

Here is another one someone may find of interest.
Good reading.

they only influence people who do not exercise thought, or thinking first.

The thing I hate most nowadays is that with IA, everyone has access to psicology theories.
And all of them are manipulative in a way - making headers become self claimed experts on subjects they have only interacted few times -, leading to false or unsunstained conclusions making harm on theirselfs and others.
Its like a person that goes to therapy and wants to be the therapist of the family.
Go read some social media political narratives.

It amazes me how hard people on steam will dodge a simple question . At least one person attempted to give a source to a book .
https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/cultures/spawnism demonstrated in a pretty short time how Scientology, Branch Davidians, Manson Family, Heaven's Gate, People's Temple, Later Day Saints and Aum Shirako came about.

I think its more related to the fact that your question isn't worth the effort of explaining in any detail, especially considering its nothing that anyone can debate over, which is what most like to do here. Youre asking people to be your Google search bar, so dont expect much of it.

wow so asking what something is and how to spot it and asking if someone can explain a concept in detail is nothing anyone can debate over ? First of all anyone can debate over anything . The objective was to ask if someone whom is well versed on the topic could kindly explain it. Google is bias and you'll get random information from random people guessing about it. I specifically asked for people with a military background to explain it in detail . There is no argument here.

Google isn't going to get me to talk one on one live so to speak... with a person who has a military background but here on steam or possibly reddit i can do so . You still dodged the question . If you don't know that's fine and you don't have to answer but telling me to go read " a political narrative " isn't answering what a psyop is or how to spot one.

I believed in flat earth for 2 years, I really believed, they don't have evidence, they just think they do, the truth remains the truth regardless of if you believe in it, but why isn't the truth more obvious, why is it sus as ♥♥♥♥ NASA is sus ♥♥♥♥.
