I can't justify buying a 50 dollar game now, there is no way I'd be able to for an 80 dollar game.

im poor and cant justify anything........:steammocking:........no one cares.....people are going to buy it regardless of you.....
YES. (But only if you really want to and have the money for it. Personally, I think 90 dollar games are absurd, and the welcome tour being 30 dollars is even more absurd.)

I can care less if people want to waste their money buying one, there are better options for the same or less money. Mario and Zelda are about the only unique IP Nintendo has.

What are better options? It seems cheaper and better than steam deck.

Base level deck is 400 which is cheaper. I am curious about what the next generation of handheld devices might bring, I'd imagine their specs will be better than the deck or the switch 2. Really anything that can run Steam, GOG , or Epic games would be a better value in the long run, just because the games will more likely be on sale, so even if the initial cost is higher, you'd quickly break even in a couple years if you buy a game every couple months.
  90 dollar games

Steam Sales and the prices on the PC will never let me go back to consoles unless they start doing baller physical releases again with full instruction booklets and high quality box art.

What do you want the next generation of handheld devices to bring? It's just going to be better graphics, better resolution, better gyros, variable refresh rate screen... What else could it have? A weiner? :steammocking:
I'd rather get a Steam Deck which I plan on getting soon. Consoles are even worse than smartphones with these mid-gen updates like PS5 Pro.

Switch 1 turned out to be a waste of money for me. Mario Odyssey and Pikmin 4 were cool but both Zelda games were overpriced, overhyped disappointments. No way am I paying $70-$90 to play Mario Kart and Donkey Kong.

I do Nintendo's good old days with high quality color instruction manuals and box art.

People were fine paying 1,000$ for scalped classics, xboxes, playstations, so I don't see what the fuss is about here. Nintendo is tired of sharing half their revenue with scalpers. I been saying for years that these constantly sold out products, only being available by massively overpriced scalpers, need to charge more up front. Nintendo is finally doing it. If scalpers are going to gobble up all the items, so it's sold out, then resell it for 2-4x the price... the company should have just charged more in the first place.
