Game won’t launch after clicking "Play" – no error, just nothing happens
Need help with this game won’t start or anything help requested

does it try to launch, like even for a second?

Go to the game's hub. Search it somewhere. Etc.

What's the game? Old games usually need some community patch to run on modern systems.

Close steam completely. Make sure there are no instances of it running through task manager while its seemingly closed. Then restart steam.
