i am looking to scratch up my car where the paint is
now peeling off and initially i was going to spray paint
shapes over it... but then i had a better idea of covering
it with black tint vinyl......

thoughts... ideas... tips.....

I've sprayed a car before. I wouldn't recommend it unless you know what you're doing. It's basically primer, paint, buff, clear over coat then buff to smooth again. But if you don't do it right, it will appear terrible.

If it's just for fun with a beat up car then go for it. You probably don't need to buff as the paint will be coated but professional clear coats are way better than retail versions.
thats why i want to use Vinyl..... i dont want to play with paint
but i want the warn out bits to have some protection so they dont end up
rusting and causing bigger problems....

i got a quote to have it repainted.. but i dont want that new look.... i might as well make the most of it and give some personality now.....
its the roof that has lost most of its clear coat..i'm sure something dodgy
happened to my car and they repainted the roof when the sold it to me
brand new..... cause the other sides of paint dont have any problems...
and the bonnet has a hand size spot where the clear is missing which
is odd to have such a small spot and not the whole bonnet....
I’m not too car savvy, sadly. The only thing I know how to do is pump my tires with air and use jumper cables.
jumper cables... impressive....
