I have no plans of upgrading at all

Elden Ring 45 fps on average, sometimes 60. Not bad at all for a vetaran 12-13 years old.

Nowadays they don't make them so strong. Nowadays they make trash and sell it for absurd amount of money as if I make millions
I remember when the Intel and Nvidia combo was still cool. I'm still using a Ryzen from 6 years ago. Playing latest games on max settings, it don't go about 40%. 32GB of RAM will still last me another 10 years, and my Intel GPU with 16gb VRAM will probably last me another 10 too.

It is still cool and powerful combo. AMD is in the mix but AMD makes both CPU and GPU.

Some people buy this especially content creators due to AMD's reputation of multitasking. yet I am simple gamer and don't need multitasking but just more fps. Unfortunately new tech is built trash and breaks down in a few years down the road
Why don't you post this in the Hardware and Operating Systems forum and see what people there think?

I am not asking what they think. I don't need re-confirmation because as I said my rig is 13 years old never had issues and still running
The computer hardware has been AMAZING for the past Fifteen years, EXCELLENT! When 3Dfx and nvidia started the hardware barely ran a thing very well, ALWAYS choking unless the machine was super rigged. Had to be replaced within a year, sometimes less IF you wanted good performance. The hardware they have now is INCREDIBLE by comparison. Same could be said for processors memory and hard drives. The leap in quality and lifespan IS mind- boggling. By comparison we paid and spent far more for computers during the 1980's thru 90's

The only issues I have in general are sound related. Have had some BSDs which I pinpoint to trash Asus sound card but too lazy to replace even that

and your cpu + mobo + gpu are...?
some powerful setup you have, that must be, for it to run like butter being over 10 years old PC, normally I would advise people to go for budget PC component in recent years, that way they dont have to invest very much for one build, and easy to go for an upgrade in case their setup isnt doing well.

Yes I think I build some strong combo, but really it is that some 12-13 years ago they made products to last

GTX 980 (Asus Strix)
Intel i5 LGA 1151 (box says i5-6500)
Mboard is Asrock generick box says H170M Pro 4
Say sike right now

I still keep the boxes from 13 years ago
Yesssssss, I'm proud Intel and Nvidia owner despite all the controversy. i7 13700kf and RTX 4080. And I hope this hardware will be still decent in 2030. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
