Why are Chinese supermarkets so cheap?
For example, Wing Yip superstores sell coconut water for £1.50.

Meanwhile, it's double the price in British supermarkets.

u get bio or fair trade usually in normal supermarkets thats why they cost more
they made most of their stuff so local product is cheap

importation is very expansive for chinese

after it going to depend agreement with their foreign supply, for example agreement between china and brazil, brazil get cheap chinese goodie and china get brazilian food
Because China has no quality control
Probably Trump driving US market demands down, boosting availability everywhere else.
Because that's how net exporter countries work. It's easier to buy their stuff with foreign money.
Because the Chinese outsmarted us again

I thought it was because the Chinese have a vast trading network all over the world.

So does the US, but they're a massive importer. They benefit from having a strong currency other countries want in exchange for their goods. A buyer from China would likely have more trouble buying American goods than the other way around.

It's not anti British to recognize that the likes of Asda and Sainsbury's are price gouging.

Lidl and Aldi not as much.

It's economics based on supply and demand.
People don't buy it they will drop the price or change product.
