THAT is still working! dont put women down.
Very diplomatically expressed!
And if they're good enough at something, they wouldn't even see it as job. What they DON'T want is to waste away 30+ years of their life working a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ job with no career advancement opportunities or social mobility. We all have a limited time on this Earth. Why should it be wasted on people or companies who wouldn't appreciate it anyway?
Most would love to never have to work while getting to do their own thing while living comfortably, but that isn't how society functions, as even in communist countries, you have to work to survive "or else" you will likely be "forced" to work.
The real thing people should be saying is that CORPORATIONS don't want to PAY people "living wages".
And when you have a society run by greedy "Corpos" that believe in "Infinite Growth" and "Red line must ALWAYS go UP!" you get to a point where that is not actually possible, and no one can afford any sort of luxuries, food, housing or dreams of a stable and comfortable life... So they give up and often find other ways to survive on the DL.
Another issue is that nearly EVERY major hiring "HR firm" (more corpos) use "Background" and "Credit" checks along with computer programs that are very strict about approving people.
So if you don't have sparkling credit, a clean record, years of paid work experience for entry level jobs, and want to work for under minimum wage while being college educated and able to speak 5+ languages "HA! SCREW YOU!" it seems.
Heaven forbid someone with bad credit might be trying to get a job to pay off their debt, because apparently you are too much of a "risk" in that case, and automatically denied even an interview let alone a human actually seeing your application in the first place.
Nowadays, the best thing you can do is start your own business and work for yourself instead of trusting some greedy corpos.
Then if you mess up; you can even get free housing, food, gym membership, and an opportunity to network with other like-minded people ... in prison.
