Do you consider yourself a "consumerist"?
If you work hard to receive your salary, you obviously go buy something to you as a reward for what you did, right?

Now what if the fashion of the moment announces something new, a something you already have (for example, a new smartphone or a new gaming pc with better upgrades), with one year of release, would you spend your money in something you don't need?

I admit I am always tempted for these new releases/sales, but luckily there are good people around me to advice me to don't spend all my money from the young apprentice job in these things, my contract will end on November, I don't know when I will get another job and I need money for when I will be unemployed.

Yeah, but not in this way - I admittedly consume a lot of digital media. Other than that though, I rarely actually buy new stuff. Salary goes straight into savings & investments.

My last phone was 8 years old, and I only upgraded it because the apps I regularly use eventually started bugging out or stopped working altogether as I couldn't install updates anymore.

I don't need my PC hardware to be the latest & greatest because my specs are already good enough for the kinds of games I like to play, and fortunately none of those games require the latest Nvidia card to run smoothly.
On top of that, I buy new games once in a blue moon. I can be entertained by the same 1 or 2 games for years before finally getting bored of them.
yes I'm a shopaholic uwu

I'm guilty of this; I would reward myself with something nice after a victory or if I just feel like it. However I'm financially stable now whereas in the past, I would avoid buying unnecessary products and save for what was important (a house).

I don't work to earn money I won't spend.
Not at all. Fashion means nothing to me, I want what I want and that's it.
No FOMO whatsoever.
