It's called a conscience.
Like when homer Simpson talks to himself about donuts.
Yes, I can also visualize a lovely red apple with a single leaf on the stem and spin it.

Yes..?
And I can't seem to comprehend the possibility of some lacking it. It feels so natural that even if some were to claim otherwise, I could never truly believe them.
I keep it switched off. I suspect this induces deficits in procedural memory access and the formation of autobiographical memories, indexed in narrative form. But it facilitates verbatim recall. I had some version of I guess auto-echolalia as a child, where I felt compelled to whisper back anything I said to myself. I can playback sounds and music in near perfect detail, but in most states cannot recall people's voices. Likewise with faces. I can recognize voices, I can recognize faces, but cannot reconstruct them internally. They're garbled or amalgamated, like it's trying to collapse every version of them in memory down to one single out. This comes and goes. I suspect it has to do with downstream consequences of the mode of some sort of superstructure. If you don't maintain an inner monologue or narrative about what you're doing, that machinery is broken up into pieces and repurposed for other tasks. I do however have internal dialogue, I talk to other people (you feel a response, but don't hear it). But no self reflecting monologue, by default. If I find myself subvocalizing while reading (as I am right now) I tend to hide it in noise.

With enough black box testing you can condition the mind, an the brain, to do just about anything. With a few exceptions, when I was more focused on this I did identify several hardware bottlenecks. Like it's well known that it's hard to read and listen simultaneously (you switch between them rapidly), or scale beyond maybe 3 or so verbal inputs. But there are some unexpected and oddly fine grained bottlenecks as well. Some apparently conditionable, others fixed.
Inner voice, inner claws, inner jaws, inner spark, inner glow, Inner fears, inner tears, inner storm, Inner dreams, inner chains, inner keys, inner wars, inner peace.. My mind will become your trap :dsmagic:
Me: *shopping on Amazon for things I don’t need*
Inner Voice: Buy it. Buy it now.
Me: I shouldn’t.
Inner Voice: Do it!!!!
Me: *clicks buy*

no inner eye? your mind has a blind spot. might want to correct that if you want to keep an eye on your mind-boggling stunts more effectively.

I'm nearsighted, but I have some eyes on my wings.
