What was the worst (US) remake of a foreign film you have seen?
I've watched Chakushin Ari, the original Japanese one. There's an American adaptation of that being retitled as "one missed call" and got to say it's a load of garbage. Same goes for "the grudge" since that made the original Ju-on better in comparison to the remake. Just watch the OG Korean The good doctor instead of the American remake of that show...

The wicker man
Oldboy was pretty bad
Let me in - wasn't exactly bad but the Swedish original is better and less Hollywood-ized.
Death at a funeral
Magnificent Seven
City of Angels
The Ring
House of Cards
Godzilla 1998
Rent

The orchestrations in the 2012 version were pretty good. The thundering timpani in Look Down makes up for the unsuited celebrity castings.

Though the 25th Anniversary concert is the best overall, IMO.
Godzilla 1998

I can't believe this is the film that introduces me to the Godzilla franchise in the first place lol
the ring was ass
The Vanishing (1993)

Original:

Spoorloos (1988, Netherlands/France)

not really bad movie, was fun to watch 😊
Last Man Standing (1996) was a bad retelling of Yojimbo (1961).
