Zombie apocalypse at a shopping mall
At this rate, wouldn't malls be the safest place if a similar outbreak were to occur, as they're usually empty these days?

Think a grocery store is best bet. If you can blockade the front windows, tge otger 3 sides have no windows.
Maybe find a few busses park them in front, weld some stuff

nope

safest place is boat

or small island nobody live

if really you stuck inland without boat, you hide home or appartment and be quiet, so not noise

you can also try to steal car, but if you run out gas you may be in big trouble

Ngl if a zombie apocalypse happened I'd probably barricade myself in my basement and starve to death

this topic is proof that being "brainwashed" is a real thing...

from the amount of video games, movies and books that focus on a apocalypse is all intentional... or if u dumb enough to think its all coincidence, thats on you.

What's the point? All they have to offer in any survival scenario are overpriced shoes and Labubus.
Nope, you mean libraries.

Well these days, sure. But when Day of the Dead came out, malls were a major gathering place. Not the internet.

But from an engineering view - no. Any building with a flat roof would make a terrible base. Because flat roofs require maintenance every 5-7 years or they start leaking and caving in. Need a lot of petroleum products to keep a flat roof, which probably won't be available since all the refineries won't be operating anymore. You want pitched metal roofs, they last lifetimes.

So really an old cathedral would be a better building. Stone walls, metal bars over the windows, big heavy doors, and copper roofs.

Perhaps an old Saxon stone village church with a basement.

I think they made movies and video games about this...

The glass walls won't hold. But you can break off or barricade escalators and stay on the top floor unless they are the World War Z zombies (climbers).
Malls were pretty empty when DotD came out too. They were a new thing and hadn't caught on. That's why all of the characters are confused at what they're seeing when they first fly over it (which is wierd today).

On actual topic though, malls have too many exit and entry points, and are too close to large settlements to be good places to hunker down in a zombie apocalypse.

Good point :lunar2020thinkingtiger: still imagine a zombie being quiet due wandering in a library lol :steamlaughcry:
Would a zombie apocalypse in the us be less dangerous since so many Americans are on the "larger" side they wouldn't be able to run as fast as for example the European zombies?American Malls tend to be bigger too so more space and slower zombies :steamhappy:
