Macro vs Micro Environment
Why are so many people in this forum focused on the macro environment and things they have no power to change but not on their micro environment?

For example, they are focused on wars thousands of miles away but not on what's happening locally around them or what they actually have the power to change.

I've noticed this trend a lot in the UK where folks are now becoming obsessed with Forever wars in Syria or Palestine while ignoring local issues.

Slacktivism. Just look athow they respond to blatant medical-industrial crime like early clamping of the umbilical cord, water fluoridation, bioeffects of electromagnetic fields, etc. They glimpse a massive machine and incomprehensible level of entrenched dysfunction and shut down in the face of it. They'd rather focus on something abstract like a political party, foreign war, or economic system. It allows them to feel engaged and absolved simultaneously.

That requires them to confront their own vulnerability and discover that the betrayal by institutions is closer to home than they think.

They focus on the abstract illusion of action and engage in issues they don't have the power to change while doing little to challenge their lifestyle, surroundings, circumstances, or behaviours.
because it's the end life of their programming

major character from better call saul. he's the main character's brother who suffers from a "electromagnetism allergy."

Oh, yeah I've heard of that show. Never seen it but sounds like propaganda/misguided plot element. "EHS" is definitely real, was first called "microwave sickness" in the 50's. Everyone is affected whether they manifest overt somatic changes or not. It's also not an "allergy", though mast cell degranulation cna cause dermographism in some extreme and rare cases. Probably some sort of synergism with mold exposure or heavy metals, hard to say.

it's neither. it's revealed through the show that chuck suffers from mental illness brought on by his brother's behavior.

Pretty much. They would frame a physiological response to an environmental stressor as being actually just neuroticism from sibling abuse but he can't face it or whatever and blames something else. Hence, propaganda.

And it'll be framed as an awakening, leaving the labyrinth, and healing allegory. The emergence from the darkness of delusion. The descent into delusion would be made to seem empowering.

We have decades of research available on both animal models and humans with industrial exposure. There's no question it's biologically active and an objective stressor. Whether you can amplify or dampen it with the will is another matter.
