What are some games that have the same vibe as Tenchu?
I miss the stealthy, atmospheric feel of Tenchu, sneaking around, using tools, and that tense vibe in a historical setting. Any games with a similar style or gameplay loop? Doesn’t have to be ninja-themed. The most similar one I’ve found is Sekiro, already got all the achievements.

I miss those games. Nothing really quite scratches that itch. If you like Sekiro, Fromsoft said they drew inspiration from Tenchu and Onimusha but Onimusha is more-so similar aesthetically to Tenchu, not really in gameplay as it's basically Resident Evil with swords, samurais, and demons.

I assume you tried the Tenchu - Fatal Shadows spin-off on PS2? It's not as popular as the main game but it plays pretty much the same. There was also another Tenchu game on PSP(whose name escapes me) plus one called Tenchu Z on 360/PS3, I couldn't get into either of them though and, imo, Fatal Shadows is the best of those.

Ghost of Tsushima is probably the closest thing I've seen to Tenchu.

It would be amazing if they made a new Tenchu game, preferably with huge levels instead of an open world design.

Open world games tend to get boring really quick with all the travel you have to do. It's a genre that has really been overdone.

I really enjoy open-level games more than open-world ones, like Cruelty Squad or Hitman. I tried Ghost of Tsushima and loved the art style. I'm looking forward to the next one.

that vibe is more about graphic limitation of the PS 1 age. never the less great atmosphere in that game.
