Really cool game but some of the music creeps me out so much it's hard to get through the scarier areas.
The remaster specifically, its a beautiful disaster of a remaster, glitches overload, softlocks, it truly makes me feel like I'm stuck in a time loop after wrongly abusing time rewinding powers to save my lesbian girlfriend who's also a horrible person for 90% of the game, but so am I so its fine.
I have a soft spot for the original, kind of nostalgic.
I don't know if this counts, but the dev behind it is one of the "wokest" people imaginable (except bizarrely he supports the 2nd Amendment), but he makes a good game. The game itself doesn't include any woke messaging specifically though.
Occasional woke IPs do succeed, but by and large the profit "woke" games make is either by hijacking pre-existing franchises (ie BG3) or by starting off much less woke and only ramping it up to 11 in the sequel which people then buy because they're already invested in the series (ie TLOU2).
dragon age veilguard flopped
also bg3 is the baldur gate with the most sale and the larian game with the most sale
Also very interesting that the MAGAts are now all saying the exact same thing about "hijacking franchises."
It's crazy how you guys all fall into line when you get your marching orders and sound like robots stuck on repeat.
We've been complaining about this for more than a decade at this point my friend. It's not an "are now" thing. You need to remember that things don't simply pop into existence the moment you become aware of them.
Keep buying our woke games, we appreciate the funding. Most MAGA gamers are weak-willed and buy games they complain about.
You can't. Look up the concept of gatekeeping. The media tries to destoy you if you make a game that is not ostensibly woke, Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 being a good example (and unfortunately the dev ended up caving for KCD2), and on top of the media trying to destroy you it is almost impossible to get funding, people will shy away from hiring or contracting for you in case the knowledge they worked for an "evil right winger" harms their career prospects.
