Either they're worshipping a clockwork design and nature as a lower dimensional projection of a higher order (father heaven), or they're worshipping the primordial maternal, the mother of all mothers, mother Earth. In some cases it's actually a worship of the self, ie as above so below, as within so without.

I agree nature is disgusting, and also humans and society follow the rules of nature, they will never be able to surpass nature.

Go into space, then get out of the rocket without any suit, you'll find out then.

Better to worship nature than presidents and political parties.

Most people feel the need to worship something, so why not nature?🤔

Nature is actually really ♥♥♥♥♥♥. The only people who think it's beautiful or who like it are those who are insulated from nature by living in the comforts of civilization.

Nature is hell for the creatures that have to try to survive inside it.

Would you prefer they worship the dollar? 1s and 0s?

Because nature is the most beautiful thing on earth. Nature is self-organizing and self-changing constantly. If you look at a tree it will look tomorrow slightly differently then today and over time everything is in circle of life and death and you can watch the full beauty of becoming and fading away.

In addition many natural things awake good emotions inside most people. Like if you feel the warm breeze of a sunny day on your skin, hear the gentle sound of tree leaves moving or smell the rain after a hot summer day.

And yes nature is also hard and renlentless. It has to be this way so the old, ugly and worthless life fades away and replace it with new life and give it a chance to grow and spread its beauty.

If you think this is wrong because you have some misguided communist ideas of a society in which even the worthless creature has to have a place then is just degeneration. In life everything has to prove constantly its ability to stay alife ... or perish.
