Think of any fictional alien race or fantasy race you can think of that can have the potential to be dated like people would.

Cause I know there are people out there out of billions on this earth would want to date and marry the chad Sangheili or want to be with an Elf that is ten times more older than your grandmother but still looks like they can featured as a beauty model in a magazine.

There are many fish in the sea. But there is a near endless possibilities should for whatever against all odds and reason fictional stuff somehow crossed over to our reality.

Nah. People would still have preferences--and they'd also have unrealistic expectations that aren't met by reality.

The plain fact is that when you stop looking for a sexual outlet and start looking for a *person*, you form more meaningful connections that have a *much* better (not perfect, but better) chance of enduring the vagaries of life.

That's true even if your pool suddenly includes *real* furries.

As of now AI are just glorified yes man or woman depending on what you choose chatbots that have no free will of their own and are designed to only appeal and never actually being there physically.

The dating scene would change for the better if aliens existed.

I was visited by an alien back in 2016. I parked my Toyota car in my garage. The garage door was closed. When I woke up the next day, my rear left tire had a hubcap missing.

Aliens teleported into my garage and stole it.

instead of going scifi and fantasy.. lets just bring the other races of man... into play.

neanderthales were had larger brains and were much smarter than the smartest of us today..
they also were much more resistant against illnesses, toxins and injury
they recovered faster from injurity
they were also much stronger

their downsides :
-they need a lot more food (much higher metabolism since all the power hungry systems in a human body were enhanced) this makes them faster to starve in a famine
-they would overheat a lot easier, made for the cold, so many regions that are nice to us, they already suffering heatstrokes in..
-they had lower social skills (used to live in smaller groups) so individually vastly superior, but less skilled than us in teamwork.

they were superior in every way.. we just won out because of numbers (number we got due being more energy efficient and number that helped us being better teamplayers which we also needed more because we are individually weaker..
add to that and because the climate got warmer which we could better handle. and it made the megafauna also extinct which ment the land got less productive.. those smaller pray could not sustain something as energy hungry as a neanderthale.

(some people suspect that the myths of trolls are a memory going back to when we still shared the earth with them.)

they seem to otherwise mostly do what humans did.. just miniature..

in body a bit between a human and a neanderthale, stocky but not that stocky.
but with non of the extreme buffs neanderthales had..
they had normal strenght, and they had a couple weaknesses (likely due inbreeding) like bad backs, bad knees, etc..
inteligence wise they were quite dumb.. not annimal.. but certainly on the low end.. like 60-70iq if compared to us would be a smart denesovian.
but with one heightend trait, their ability to see "space" was much improved.. basicly the ability to see differences in a terrain or face that to us look all the same, and the ability to map routes in their head..
this made them perfect trackers, better than any native american human.
.. they seem to have even higher cold resistance than neanderthales as well as the ability to breath much lower oxigen (well adapted to live high in the cold barren mountains0

they also seemed to be more adapt at learning by doing than us.. but much worse at learning from others teaching.
so they could quicker learn to toss a stone exactly right.. but would have a very hard time to be tought from an elder how to craft tools... basicly they had to invent that on their own all the time..

You can try to have kids with an alien, but you're probably not making anything that's going to live for very long, and I would like to be a father some day, so a fling here and there might be available but I'm still team human in the end

As for dating as a whole, there'd be more choice, but without knowing about the cultures of the aliens there's not much you can say about what would actually change. Maybe everyone flocks to the aliens, maybe they don't
