That could be argued about every decade. Some things you like and some you don't.

Personally I thought there were plenty of great movies and music in the 80's and 90's.

Honestly I could divide all the 6 decades I've been in existence into how horrible the U.S. Presidents have been during the time I was aware of them.

Needless to say every Democrat President hasn't been worth a ♥♥♥♥. That would be my biggest takeaway over the decades.

And 300 years from now when we're all dead people will say how this current era was a joke also, just like the rest of human history because humanity is a joke and a virus.

At least civilization has been progressing in certain ways, but at what cost huh? Govts and institutions around the planet have actually improved overall I'd say, would you rather have it be like it was 500 years ago? 1000 years ago?

hmm, no eras were really golden if we are discussing disasters and suffering and such. for me personally i just liked the media of the time. horror films, video games, novels and mangas, music, this sort of thing.
