actually, sort of have this problem on my steam app. it could not post anything on discussion board any more. There red message told me an error occured, but it didnt specify what error.
I thought i got banned too, but i have no ban message or warning

Yea there was a huge glitch around that time, forums were intermittently not accessible. Seems good now.

I just thought it was the Valve's Item server's being fried from the ever increasingly powerful gasses trapped in our atmosphere that raises temperatures to be deadly levels at place it shouldn't be possible.

As far as I know, trying to login to Steam using a VPN is against the terms of service. An off-topic statement to be sure, but I personally wouldn't do anything to risk an account ban.

On topic, there was a huge spike of Steam connection error reports about 4 hours ago, so it was likely a server-side issue and nothing for anyone to worry about.
