Why do some dislike the idea of lab grown meat?
If you can have meat that looks and tastes identical to ones that come from an actual animal without an animal having to die for it, why would you say no? What would be the actual downside to it?

Do some people hate lab grown meat for no other reason than they want an animal to die for their food? If so, that's pretty disturbing in my opinion.

Have you ever seen the price? And also, I'm already used to eat normal meat and I don't have any reason to stop eating
God put beasts here to eat not labs.

normal meat = living organism that consume and process food found in nature. exposure to many elements. become dense in nutrient.

lab meat = block of proteins. just grown cells. no exposure to nature. lack of nutrient.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7105824/

Traditional meat is a nutritionally dense food containing high-quality proteins, vitamins, minerals, and other important nutrients
...
It is of interest to note that many compounds that accumulate in the muscle are not produced in the muscle but derive from animal feed components which have been digested and modified by non-muscle organs.

Unless specifically added to the culture medium and taken up by the cells, these compounds would be absent in cultured meat, influencing processes determining flavor, texture, color and nutritional aspects.

Then the labs become the ONLY way to create food and animals as we know them cease to exist, or they can make up whatever stories about them they want.
When all the sheeple get used to this and then for some reason these labs go out of business nobody will have any food and we all die because nobody knows how to make mcnuggets(not clearly labeled on the bird itself).

Shalom!
when has synthesized product bested the real deal?

Too many side effects(some quite serious) listed on pharmaceuticals for me to trust scientist playing God.

Remember when they thought GMO's were a great idea?
It's way too expensive, and it'll remain so for a long time. But I'm definitely not opposed to the idea. I wouldn't try it for the first 10 years though.
I think a few reasons, 1. Many people are cautions with new technology. 2. You will find people don't really understand science which doesn't help. 3. The organizations making it have money as their interest not your experience.

Think GMOs In the context of gene splicing of crops. It's a useful technology that can make food healthier like golden rice which was used to solve a nutrient deficiency to save kids from blindness. Or save crops from disease and weather conditions.

Though there are valid concerns you can add something to the food that could make someone sick when you dig into it. This really isn't happening all that much if at all. (Feel free to link me articles otherwise.) Now to those unfamiliar with Biology genetic engineering may as well be witchcraft and against the will of God. Then to top it off how we actually see the tech used day today? Round-up-ready corn. Because spraying biocides on your food is cool and normal. But don't worry it's perfectly safe the poison company told me so.

It's still pretty early tech. Who is to say that the price won't become competitive with (or maybe even beat) animal meat within the next 25-50 years?

These "beasts" are also living beings that we should not take for granted.
I don't think lab grown meat will ever taste identical to naturally sourced meat.

For people to actually be able to replace meat with fake meat then they going to need to replicate more than just taste. Appearance is vital too.
I'd rather eat vegans.
