If you were limited to 8-bit hardware

That assumes that games are all that much of a priority.

And I found games to be a lot more fun when they were nothing but a graphics festival.

I think back to those 80's arcade cabinets with tech that today would be laughable- but they were fun

Shouldn't that be the goal?
Yes

But I would do it less often
I loved my NES
Well by 8 bit do you mean the games limited to 8 bit consoles, or even the most recent games being 8 bit

Star Wars Arcade, the vector graphics one, is still tops. Wish I could find a working one.

But not everybody can be hardcore like us, Apollo. I've done the trench run tens of hundreds of times.

Now that was a funny one. I like it.
The NES has some GREAT games. I can foresee myself playing Mario 3 Zelda and Mega Man as well as a dozen others.

I started on the N.E.S. so of course. Also, Mario isn't the best example of what an N.E.S. can achieve, graphically speaking. We look to Little Samson sor that. Plus the N.E.S. isn't the best example of 8 bit hardware. The Sega Master System almost looks 16 bit 'cause it has some amount of shading, and if you consider that cheating then the Gameboy Color still has that 8 bit solid color look, just with a wider palette. 'sides, what else am I going to do when I'm bored and have time to waste?

Might quit if I had to only play Atari 2600 games though.

Here is another one:

If you liked classic games that talked and taunted the player: Berzerk.
Yes, it is amazing what can be achieved with the 8 bit.

No lol, it looks like crap. 2004+ games only, please.
Easy, absolutely!

NES has games like castlevania and megaman to keep me entertained, and the master system has Sonic 1, 2, Chaos, and Blast!

Does the neo geo pocket color count as 8 bit? That too!
