Refunds should extend past 2 weeks. Also it feels like Steam is handing out less and less refunds in general
I bought a game back in April for me and my friends to play, then realized my friends don't want to play it and so I forgot about it. Then I realized I had it and tried to get a refund and it was refused. I had 0 hours in game and have no intention of playing.
I recall back in the old days they would more likely to give out refunds, maybe you had 3 hours in game and tried to get it to work with no success, people would approve, etc.
Now it feels automated and it's always no

The issue with late returns is that Valve already payed the developer/publisher.

You waited several months before checking whether the game was suitable for you, that's on you. Steam are not obligated to provide you with a refund in cases like this.

Next time, don't wait months before checking a product you purchased.
It's 2 and a half months past the return day. Would you complain that if you bought a TV and never opened the box and tried to return it 2 and a half months after the 14 day return policy?
No it’s pretty good the way it is, people should just make wiser decisions about game buying

They should give you the option of selling to to other Steam users.

They legally cannot do this.

well, shucks... *kicks rock*
Given the limited supply of digital products, they should offer a trade in feature for games that you know you're never gonna play again, or are past the expiration date for refunds.
Reminds me of a challenge people do where they speed run a game, beat it, and refund it.

I dunno if it works that way, but Valve can’t hold on to money you have spent on a game indefinitely. Someday they have to transfer it to the publisher and once that happens, the money is gone. They can’t demand it back if you ask for a refund in 1 or 2 years.
