Neal Cassady died February 4, 1968 (aged 41)

Jack Kerouac died October 21, 1969 (aged 47)

The Beatles split 20 September 1969

Some of you may not know of the connection between The Beatles and Kerouac’s On The Road, but the connection is indisputable.

Questions?

If you’ve gotta take a crap with no pan in sight then just pop the shat in yr mouth.
This is strange.

In my experience, when I mention beat poets, I get nothing but blank stares. Invariably, I have to bring up Mike Myers in "So I Married an Axe Murderer" for them to even get it.

Your comment seems to imply there is something connecting these events. I don't see it.

I also wasn't aware of any connection between The Beatles and Jack Kerouac's "On The Road" before. After Googling it, I learned that there is a vague connection which is really little more than John Lennon being a nerd who loved beat poets. I bet he appreciated a lot of other excellent writers too.

If we're going to talk about beat poets, then somebody better mention Allen Ginsberg's name for crissakes.
