It was not just any farm: It was a cannabis farm. That kind of seems relevant given that irrespective of how California voted and the constitutional division of power suggesting that the federal government does not have the authority to legislate against substance abuse (remember, they needed an amendment to ban alcohol), the Federal Government, including the judiciary currently believes otherwise and has declared Marajuana a banned schedule 1 drug with no valid medicinal purpose. So yeah, it is a federal crackdown on a drug farm. Is it really that surprising?
