I'm looking at you Electro.
J.J., is that you?
Which version of Spider-man are we talking about?
How many different people have put their own spin on a Spider-man movie?
I'm sure Democrat politicians and activists would see him as a menace and a criminal ... they seem to be on the side of actual criminals nowadays being criminals themselves.
/Shrug ... good and evil is defined by how you see it and outside forces that affect your view (and if you allow them to affect it) of the subject matter.
Personally I think the point of Spider-man originally was to be seen as a force for good. I wouldn't expect everyone to see it that way, though ... especially those who are forces for evil, or those who oppose that particular definition of good.
shoots web man just doesnt sound as kool
could always just make him eat bugs or something. maybe one of the villains is a big ugly anthropomorphic fly and spiderman eats it after trapping it in a web. free idea.
reminds me of that 4chan post where they talk about how all of spidermans villains are enemies of spiders and then proceed to list things such as:
- an octopus
- sand
- electricity
- an alien symbiote
- a goblin
Batman also has this problem despite not being a super hero, technically, although at least the series acknowledges this as a source of contention between him and the police force. Not saying other popular heroes don't have that as a storyline, but it's a frequent theme with Batman and I'm not sure but he might've been the trend setter in this regard. Plus ultimately he gets deputized by the police department via the bat signal or the red phone line.
