Non-Americans: Do you still like Americans?
I'm just wondering. My family (we live in the U.S.) might plan a trip to Europe soon. I hope we won't be hated by the Europeans!

Lol, this is the *wrong* place to ask this.

People come here to vent about things they don't like. America is one of them.

For the most part I still like them. It’s just the dumb ones who make bad voting decisions that come into question.

I suppose, but I guess I'm not going to take the answers too seriously as well.

I'd like to think I'm not one of those who made the bad voting decisions (but perhaps my dad did....)

If you hate someone because of propaganda before actually meeting them, that's a you problem.

9/11 didn't happen because America is beloved by all.

A lot of foreign policy in the last 60 years has made some grudges. This administration is no different.

Hmm I suppose you have a point.

Dads will be dads. It’s not your fault. 👍

I actually agree with this.

You are welcome.

nobody is going to know who you voted for unless you tell them.
wouldn't be the way I want to spend my trip though

I wouldn't tell anyone who I voted for at least.
Many people need a target, an enemy, they're going to hate someone, bigots need targets, enemies. No matter what I do or how much I try to charm people someone will hate me, same goes for you and the rest of the forum use. Haters hate, it's what they do.
Op be polite to people and don't wear a MAGA hat and you'll be fine.

Avoid any questions about politics and enjoy the holiday .

That's true.

Funny how easily the lefties get triggered over a hat.

Lefties need lot of mental therapy.

OP is worried like people are gonna throw tomatoes at them

I mean...it's always a possibility

I'd be more concerned with local crime wherever you go and just be smart about travel
