That “lady yelling at the ducks” video
That’s been circulating online, and I made the mistake of reading the comments mostly from men. Several things really bothered me:

1. The complete lack of awareness about how aggressively r-py ducks are.
2. Mocking someone who clearly appears mentally unwell.
3. Calling her a ho just because it looks like she isn’t wearing a bra.
4. And most of all, the absence of that sinking feeling… that fear… when realizing how disturbingly common r is in certain species and how the females get r’ed to death.

It’s the fourth point that got under my skin the most. I usually see men and women as part of the same unit navigating the world together. But this is one of those moments when the line between us feels painfully clear. I don’t even know how to fully describe the feeling. It’s like many men despite the fact that SA can happen to them to just… don’t see it as that big of a deal. And that for some they see some ta tas and everything else becomes secondary. That’s what they are gonna focus on. Not seeing a random woman regardless of how she’s acting as a human being.

It’s depressing.

the internet allows unfiltered sociopathy without repercussions. staying away from any comments sections is probably wise if one cares for their mental health.

"R-pe" doesn't exist in the animal kingdom and even if you think this is r-pe there is nothing anyone can do to stop it because that's just how most animals reproduce.

I know I come across as sensitive making this post but normally, I don’t care that much about what people say. Maybe because I recently watched some documentaries about R especially that bus case that sends shivers down my spine. Women generally react strongly to SA stuff because we see ourselves being that victim.

Not my point though. I’m not defending how she acted. I wouldn’t act that way either. I’m criticizing the way people treat someone like her for caring a little too much.

We can still feel for situations that are out of our control. If I saw the ducks doing that right in front of my eyes, I would have felt something even though I know that’s just their nature.

no, you are not sensitive. it is normal to be outraged by those who show distinct lack of empathy or awareness of a situation. but at the same time this is just how the internet is, folk can, will, and do say whatever they want no matter how unhinged. things they would never say or imply in real life because of the consequences of doing so.

rape absolutely does occur in the animal kingdom and it absolutely is not how most animals reproduce.
you have no idea what you're even talking about.

Thanks! I excuse when it’s dark humor but this is just mocking someone for the hell of it. It’s just terrible. Chances are she didn’t know anything about how ducks are either and saw it for the first time. Freaked the hell out due to her own trauma.

Good point.

Ducks do mate consensually and even monogamously too during mating season but the ones without a mate would go around and force copulate in a gang. I cant help but associate that to the human cases. I know they are not the same but my mind makes that association and it makes me feel terrible.
The elites don't want you to know this but the ducks in the park are free and you can take them home with you. I have 458 ducks.

R-pe is a legal concept created by humans.
In the animal kingdom animals reproduce and the consent isn't exactly a thing. They don't exactly take each other out to bars and get to know each other first.
Most of the time it is basically this:

In fact, for some animals it is very dangerous and they can DIE in the process of trying to get some.

I’m not an American but I’ve heard that the ducks in the parks cannot be messed with and it’s a federal crime.

Someone fact check this.

This is actually true but only if they are invasive ducks.
If it's a native species you cannot take it, but if it's an invasive like a Muscovy you can absolutely take it from the park.
