Your purpose in a survival setting

So you find yourself with a decent sized group of other people who you immediately understand are going to be the people you're going to have to work with to survive. Doesn't matter what the bigger situation is, make one up.

So what skills do you bring?

I'd be pretty good as a random useful knowledge guy. I know what a fishing weir is and how to build them, I actually can make fire with two sticks, I know how to make charcoal so we can melt and forge metals into useful tools. I also know about the role of coke in smelting.

I have some basic medical knowledge, up to about setting a non-compound fracture with the rope-and-stick twisty leg/arm extender. I know how to extract pencillin from mold I'm just not sure I could identify the mold (maybe need to do something about that.)

I can configure gears and ♥♥♥♥ into just about anything you could need if you have motor fuel to run it. I know how refrigeration works if I had access to the Rx coolant. Rig up an gas powered fridge or something.

I can also punch really hard. My fist is the size of some peoples heads.

I also know my stellar constellations, but I could give you no idea on how to use that knowledge to find islands in the pacific. I can tell you where North is, tho.

I bring joy to the group through the gift of comedic observation. Can help people deal with emotional problems by using reasoning to calm them down. Am a work horse when manual labor is needed. If need be I will join the kill group to hunt down what ever large beast is harming our people. I've watched enough to understand some basics of survival. i.e. not building on top of a windy hills or in a water run off.

Basically I'm an all rounded with no technical survival skills. I have enough reasoning to be able to help solve problems that may exist. However, I would lean on people that know the proper way to build a hut over my intuitions/ideas.

My ears, eyes and snoot are far more sensitive than any hooman. I might help with tracking and hunting. At least for humans who weren't previously stingy with their pick a nik baskets.

Uh... Survival where exactly... on a tropical island, in a Martian mushroom forest, in a parallel dimension of horror, in a video game developer's office?
Well, I’ll probably be one of the first to die - either because a group member betrays me to teach the others a lesson or just because of someone else’s stupidity. Then, the remaining survivors will use my glasses to start a fire and spend the rest of the day huddled together, finding comfort in each other

I´d observing them to know if they actually know what they´re talking about, and either support them in their endeavors if they need some help to get things done, or give another idea about what to do if i think that it would lead to nothing. But i would avoid to lead the group directly. I´d do it this way, because i like the term "gray eminence".

And of course like always people will come to me to talk about problems, or to joke around a bit. So i would ensure that everybody keeps sane enough, and moderately optimistic.

Logistics is everything unless people don't have the rest of the survival skills.
Also being able to resolve disputes through conversation will keep people calm and thinking.

I also know the Konami Code. And the new one.

When everybody is panicking and losing their minds, I can be relied on to smirk at them and then get on with whatever needed to be done and relax while people are trying to out alpha each other.
