Adult fans of Lego (AFOLs)
Good day.
I'm interested in what you think about AFOLs – that is, adults who build with Lego.
Do you share this hobby, or do you think it's childish?
It would also be interesting to hear what gender you are and what you would think if your partner enjoyed building with Lego.
Thank you in advance.

I get the impression that you might think I'm a Lego employee.
Just to clarify, I'm not – and unfortunately, your response wasn't particularly helpful.
Thank you anyway.
What's your opinion OP?

I believe that Lego is also meant for adults.
As an average child, you usually don't have enough money or space to store it.
I'm especially a fan of Lego Star Wars.
Many of the sets aren't that easy to build, even for adults.
Also, I honestly wouldn't mind at all if my partner were an AFOL.
Lego was better in the 80s and 90s when there was originality.

Now, it's nothing but licenced IPs.

Bring back Space Police, Spyrius, Ice Planet, Aquanauts and Rock Raiders.
Not a fan of Lego but if people like it, let them.

Do you still have any old Lego?
Unfortunately, I didn’t really experience that Lego era myself.
I didn’t have much Lego as a kid,
and I’m more of a fan of Lego sets from the 2000s – mainly Lego Star Wars, as I mentioned before.
legos are cool

a pal of mine collects very expensive custom lego sets, and he and i have been to brick shows where folk build lego dioramas. lots of really awesome battlefield dioramas based off of real battles throughout history

That's cool.
I've loved lego for basically all my life. I find it fun to build things, and admire my creations after I'm done. the people who call it "childish" or a "kid thing" are all just kinda haters, for lack of a better word.

people should build more lego, I think. it is an art form, another way to express yourself. like drawing or writing, building lego is just another form of that.

and if my partner ever was also a fan of lego, I'd be pretty happy. it's always kewl to find someone who shares your interests.
lol
Adults playing with Legos.
lmao

*goes back to minecraft*
Any grown person without children playing with Legos is sad tbh.
