Now, we’ll probably never meet dis life, or see it, or hear it, cuz space is jus too big, but it’s definitely out der.
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful," is a quote attributed to Seneca the Younger.
However, if I understand what I’ve read correctly, peep brains do sometimes exchange thoughts and emotions wif each other.
Our brains generate a weak magnetic field, or sometin like dat, and when we’re close enough to one another, our brains can share emotions or vague thoughts wif each other directly.
It all happens subconsciously doh, so chu’d never actually know it was happenin’ unless chu had a special machine designed specifically to monitor dat stuff.
Neuroscientists has hypothesized dat dis might be the reason fir stuff like “mob madness”, chu put a bunch of angry peeps together in a small space, and deh create a feedback loop of grumpness dat rapidly magnifies itself until deh all go literally mad wif anger.
We can answer this.
Need to define the question though.
Are we the only civilisation in the known, visible universe? Yes.
Are we the only intelligent life in the universe? No. Dogs, Whales, Dolphins, Crows, Parrots, Elephants, all Great Apes and probably the lesser Apes and many species of monkey such as Baboons and Gibbons, Octopuses, Rats, Gulls perhaps even Crocodiles all qualify as being capable of abstract thought.
Is there life (intelligent or otherwise) on any other planet than Earth? No to a certainty of 99.n99%
