If Ryan Coogler gets his reboot off the ground, maybe they can be convinced to re-issue the '98 game.
Unrestricted Access which was a PS1 game and is an 'interactive movie'.
Resist or Serve which was a PS2 game and looks to be a terrible Resident Evil clone.
Sadly the reboot absolutely wrecked the show's lore and probably both fan and creator enthusiasm. So it's highly unlikely we'll see anything new.
From looking it up on Mobygames and Gog, 'The X-Files' 1998 and 'The X-Files: Unrestricted Access' 1998 appear to be the same game. Maybe the subtitle was only for certain regions.
Really gave me the spooks.
could be. but still remembering seeing a trailer for the game, went out bought the game, finished it in a few short hours. was disappointing how extremely easy it was back then

can remember playing this with one of my friends, along side Men in Black and Saw the game. all equally bad or to an extant OKish. For some reason, not all games, but majority of spinoff games is not always good
What's the point of a CSI brand-name game though?
With X-Files there is a point ... because the X-Files world has its own lore, emphasis on conspiracy theories, paranormal mysteries, etc that other detective shows lack... whereas... isn't CSI just a generic detective show? So wouldn't basically any generic detective game work for that?
CSI was hyper focused on forensic science. It did get stale by episode 2.
