Shotguns generally don't use magazines.

Though the shotties in Doom Project Brutality get upgrades.

I dont know how double-barrel works, can it be fitted with extended magazine?
maybe they only made double barrel because they haven't figured out how to mount more ammunition to the gun.

It's just two shotguns stuck together. What you can do with a single you can do with a double. It's just heavier.
