lowkey what if the human population all died in 2020 and this is our purgatory
This is a heavy thought and actually a pretty fascinating one.

If the human population all died in 2020 and what we’re experiencing now is purgatory, it would reframe everything. All the weirdness, confusion, chaos, and uncanny "normal" things since then political upheaval, pandemics, AI blowing up, culture shifting so fast it feels fake—could be signs we're in a kind of limbo. Not hell, but not peace either. A place where we’re stuck repeating patterns, unresolved, like we’re waiting for some kind of reckoning or judgment.

Some people have joked that “reality broke in 2020,” and your idea leans into that—like maybe we did break it, and now we’re just in the afterimage of a world that no longer really exists.

If this were true, what would you say we’re meant to learn or confront before we move on? Or are we just... stuck?

How is this lowkey? Seems like highkey to me.

A bit 'out there' for me, with my feet on the ground (maybe a bit too firmly), but I also noticed dramatic changes around that time.

Or I noticed it here on Steam, rather (I'm not on social media):

I took a break from gaming and Steam from around 2015 to 2020, and when I came back, I noticed that the atmosphere had changed dramatically. I made a comment about it in the forum for some game here (don't remember which one), and some time later, someone posted this on my profile (it's still there, oldest post (I deleted several older ones when I returned)):

You missed a huge part of why the Internet
is in such a huge bad shape today.

"Left Internet in 2015, came back in 2020"

Everything changed drastically in 2017,
while you were away from the Internet.

Whole Communities of People have actually invaded other Communities of People, & have tried to force, & enforce changes on them.

They spread massive Toxic Behaviour, &
People have been at an uphill War over this
ever since... Thus it's just utter Chaos now.

I've kind of suspected them to be referring to when Trump became 'active' and caused a lot of turbulence even then, but...

"weirdness, confusion, chaos, and uncanny "normal" things" is pretty normal actually.
So the whole "reality broke" concept doesn't track for me.

The Rapture already happened. Everyone here just didn't make the cut.

What if the world ended in 2012 and we are now living in a simulation?

I, too, am too old to understand the concept of "lowkey". The world has passed me by.
i would kinda be sad if we all died in 2020 because that would mean everything isn't real :steamsad::inno:

Chris-chan's dimensional merge began in 2016 after the slaughter of Harambe and we've been living in the fallout ever since
