As we've been reporting, Liverpool and Portugal football player Diogo Jota and his brother, André Silva, have died in a car crash. We are working on getting more information on the accident, but here is what we know so far: The accident happened in Zamora, Spain, at around 00:30 local time (23:30 BST). Spain's Guardia Civil said the car, a Lamborghini, left the road due to a tyre blow out while overtaking another car. It then set on fire, they added. The accident was just two weeks after Diogo Jota's wedding day to long-term partner Rute Cardoso, which took place on 22 June. Portuguese Football Federation president Pedro Proenca said all of Portuguese football is "completely devastated", while tributes continue to pour in on social media. FC Porto, where both brothers have previously played, said they were in mourning over the deaths. Jota's current club, Liverpool FC, said they are "devastated" by his tragic passing.

Same thing happened with Paul Walker, old crappy tires. Supercars or cars with mega boost need super sticky tires to maintain control but they only last 10k miles. /shrug
I remember being so happy to see Diogo Jota and his teammates finally lifting the Premier League trophy for Liverpool like 2 months ago. I was absolutely shocked when this news suddenly came out yesterday. To even learn that he got finally married to his longtime girlfriend like a week ago, and had three kids with her, it's a really sad news to read.

Truly an incredible player. Rest in peace, Diogo

Should also spare a thought for his brother Andre, who also sadly passed.
