Euros: get a hobby that doesn't include a foreign country's politics already.
Leftys want a few elite pelosis controlling money and power and distributing a pittance of that to dependent peasants
Rightys want a few elite rich controlling and keeping it
So yes, it will divide America and steals from the poor/middle class to give more tax breaks to the ultra-rich.
Plus by definition, in order to have a "middle class", it has to go between two other classes. An upper class and a lower class. If you delete the lower class lifestyle, you just end up making the middle class into the lower class and not having a middle class. Democrats try to delete the middle class by equalizing the lower class with the middle class (and ultimately equalize all classes). Of course, part of the problem with that is that you lose the ability to compensate according to the value of the work being done, and some of those higher responsibility, higher talent, higher skill threshold and higher effort jobs need the additional compensation to be worthwhile enough to attract capable workers who might otherwise elect to perform more basic roles.
It also needs to be noted that your pay rate and resource allocation kind of has to be worth what you put into your job in order for it to be sustainable. Xi is kind of right. The U.S.A. does live beyond its means. It has been kind of been cheating the system with a ponzi scheme that borrows from future generations in order for immediate benefit, but it only works so long as the population base keeps growing, and we're facing a contraction. The system needs to change in order to responsibly reflect the end of the baby boomer era or it's going to be in trouble. Probably should've never happened in the first place, but you know, we don't get a vote on what our parents decide before we're even born.
They actually do exist and even oppose Trump. A minority, of course.
You are oversimplifying, not misunderstanding. There's a lot of complexity at play, and a lot of these arguments are leftovers from the Cold War ago being recycled for future generations.
Unfortunately this is being done WITHOUT the proper history or facts being explained properly at any legitimate level in America, like in school or the media, and it is causing far too may on each side today; DNC/RNC supporters in the USA, to adopt rhetoric they don't fully understand.
Its the same in Canada and the EU.
To make this worse, the schools are pumping out young adults who don't know how to think rationally through their problems, so you see people throwing temper tantrums and fits all over the place rather than attempting to reach a compromise which is both practical and PROPERLY progressive.
...Not 'pwogwessive' like how these fringe-left lunatics want grown men changing with young girls, or how these lunatics in the alt-right want a 'white ethno-state' with some newfangled King Charlemagne or something with Trump in that archetypical role.
The Dems hammer down the middle class as well. Just look at the madness of American healthcare:
You're poor? Don't worry about paying for healthcare!
You're rich? You can afford the best healthcare in the world!
You're middle class? Lmao have fun with several thousand in debt in-between your insurance payments that leech $400-700 per month from you!
WHY try to support/develop the populace only to have it exponentially overpopulate and contribute to excess resource consumption and unnecessary waste?
it's a waste; "haste makes waste".
The right's political parties are a gang of thieves, not government.
