The Jeepers Creepers franchise, it fell into a scandal that practically laid the series to an early grave and then they tried rebooting it to no success.

my pick: the original resident evil 4 with fixed camera angles. i am preferring classic survival horror, and while the re4 we got is good, my heart yearns for the old style.

chris avellone was lead writer/director on games such as:

- fallout 2 and new vegas
- planescape torment
- kotor 2
- pillars of eternity
- neverwinter nights 2

he was the biggest name at obsidian/black isle during their golden years, and he was originally supposed to direct kotor 3 as well before it got canceled.
