honestly it has no use as a resource stand point but as a build stand point it can make for some pretty cool steam punk builds but thats about it really. oh and some decoration here and there for the red wood

Vanilla minecraft is bad, old versions with modpacks is where its at.

one of my fav modpacks recently decided to become "More like modern minecraft" and its ruined all balance. Because ores now drop as fortune affected ingots/nuggests, making fortune EVEN MORE BROKEN, because they made ore nuggets still get ore doubling when macerated.

So instead of getting 2x ingots per ore block, you get like up to 5x and its just bad.
