And Tyrannosaurus Rex looked at God. And Tyrannosaurus Rex ate God. And Tyrannosaurus Rex was God.
clearly there is freedom of expression, whatever it could mean, of that I am certain it exist in human society.
what could be the reason that they have to give birth to the child of a man that is bent on writing to have one, I dont know anymore, never did.
But the theorized meteorite impact that wiped out the dinosaurs, did shift and drastically alter the crust of the Earth, shoving most of what was on the surface, into those subduction vents that are under the crust.
So the crust basically peeled off and then covered itself up, burying the layer above it.
I think this can be noticed easiest in Australia iirc, if one is knowledgeable about geology, plate tectonics, and other matters, which I am not.
Ended up wiping out 75% of the players' accounts at the time. Devs wanted the newer players to have a chance. Kinda F'ed up the game balance if you ask me.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yup. The bible was written by man, not God, so of course it is missing information.
It was not written as a single book, either. Rather, it is a collection of works and the church decided which would be included and which would be omitted. Anything that is deemed no longer relevant or consistent with the views of the people, is removed. The God in the bible now is a lot less vengeful than the god of two thousand years ago.
Course, not all Christians believe that. Some take the word of the bible as absolute. I am not sure how they cope with the fact that it has changed over time, though.
You're mixing up two different events there.
The K/T (Cretaceous/Tertiary) extinction event definitely included a large asteroid impact. We have found the crater at Chicxulub in Mexico. We know it happened. However we also have evidence of many smaller craters at that time and of the Deccan Traps erupting at the same time. We don't know if it was any one of these events which destroyed the dinosaurs, or a combination of all of them or if the asteroid or asteroid swarm set off the Deccan Traps. However, the evidence highly suggests it was the asteroid because of the iridium layer. Iridium is not naturally found on earth, there is a worldwide layer of iridium found at the K/T boundary in rock and dinosaurs are found under that layer and never above it.
Moreover, although the chicxulub impact was massive, it was tiny on a planetary scale. It affected the climate, not the crust (beyond causing massive earthquakes and probably a bit of volcanism). But all the continents that were around then are still around now.
However we do now have solid evidence that there are massive continental crust structures at the bottom of the mantle. This event would have occurred during the collision of Theia with Earth. Theia was a planetoid, not an asteroid and the impact was large enough to probably melt half of Earth's surface. This happened billions of years in the past and is the impact that also gave birth to the moon. Long before life ever evolved. The structures in the mantle are probably the remaining bits of Theia.
And: Interesting fact thinking about it, Earth's moon is probably highly unique in the Solar System as it was formed out of Earth. We know this because it is slowly escaping Earth's gravity, moving further away over time. Most other moons in the Solar System are planetoids or asteroids which have been captured by planets and are moving in to the planets, which is why all the moons of Jupiter and Saturn are individually unique. Not entirely sure about Deimos and Phobos of Mars because Mars may also have suffered a catastrophic early collision, but we aren't sure. Deimos and Phobos are small enough to be captured asteroids or they might be Martian ejecta from that collision.
or my theory is, you didn't read up first. Now, i know the word Dinosaur was only termed about in the 1840's. but regarding the Dinosaurs or large animals, the bible definitely does mention it. I made use of Chatgpt, so see below:
🐉 1. Behemoth – Job 40:15–24
"Look at Behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox... His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron."
(Job 40:15–24)
Some believe this refers to a sauropod-like dinosaur, such as a Brachiosaurus.
Others argue it’s a hippopotamus or elephant (common scholarly view), though the tail description ("like a cedar") doesn't match those animals.
🐲 2. Leviathan – Job 41, Psalm 74:14, Isaiah 27:1
"Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook... Out of his mouth go flaming torches; sparks of fire leap forth."
(Job 41:1–34)
Described as a sea monster or dragon, breathing fire and impossible to tame.
Some think this could be a marine dinosaur or prehistoric sea creature like a plesiosaur.
Others view it symbolically (e.g., chaos monster or Satan).
🐍 3. Serpent or Dragon references
There are mentions of dragons or great serpents, especially in older translations like the King James Version (KJV):
Isaiah 27:1 – "the dragon that is in the sea"
Isaiah 30:6 – mentions "fiery flying serpents"
Revelation 12:3, 9 – "great red dragon", often interpreted symbolically (Satan or evil).
These references are often symbolic, but some use them to argue for the existence of dragon- or dinosaur-like creatures in ancient times.
🐊 4. Creatures in Genesis and Flood accounts
Genesis 1:21 mentions God creating "great sea creatures" (Hebrew: tanninim), which some interpret as possibly including ancient or dinosaur-like animals.
Also, young Earth creationists believe dinosaurs could have been aboard Noah's Ark and possibly lived alongside humans before going extinct post-Flood.
prior to that nobody ever talked or wrote about such creatures, weird
They were talked about all over the place. But no one knew what they were.
