I think it just shows how divided and angry Americans are right now. They are sick of the apparent failures of traditional lawmakers.

So far nothing has been revealed about him. Every claim about him has been false. Even if every claim about him had been true however, and his felony convictions were justified and not political theatre, that he is allowed to be president is a safety mechanism within the US so that allegations, witch hunts and politically motivated prosecutions are less effective than they would be in other countries.

My country's prime minister had 2 of his houses and one of his cars firebombed. There was almost no mention of it in the news for ages. Then the police announced they'd caught the first suspect, who happened to be a Ukrainian male prostitute. The prime minister made no official statement about it, then later on they captured two more Ukrainian male prostitutes and are still looking for more, still no official statement from the PM about it, as far as I know.

The near media blackout and the apparent total silence from the government itself make it seem kind of dodgy. Especially since the trial is currently ongoing. And for some reason despite being Ukrainian none of the three apparently speak a word of Ukrainian, or English, despite having lived in England for ages and having English language social media presences, and are speaking Russian in the court and using an interpreter.

It's just a confusing mess all round.
